Mark Salling, who gained famed as one of the beloved characters on the hit Fox musical show “Glee,” was found hanged today (Jan. 30) at a Little League ball field near his LA home, a gruesome end following a guilty plea to child porn charges. Salling was 35 at the time of his death, which appears to be a suicide. Salling was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possessing of child pornography....
Political correctness may have finally caught up with “The Simpsons,” the iconoclastic cartoon show that has never seen a social convention it couldn’t deconstruct. But the show may finaly be crossing a line with it’s Kwik-E-Mart character Apu. Hank Azaria, the actor who voices the character, has confirmed that Apu may be history because some may deem the character “offensive.”...

Frank Sivero, the actor who played an iconic mobster in the Martin Scorsese classic “Goodfellas” is suing Fox television show The Simpson, alleging that his likeness has been used for more than a decade without a penny coming his way. The death of Matt Bendik, best known as the boyfriend of “Glee” star Becca Tobin, is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. The California club owner was found dead yesterday in a Philadelphia hotel. He was only 35. The medical examiner today (July 11) would only say that Bendik’s death was sudden. No foul play is suspected and no evidence of suicide has surfaced. No drugs or drug paraphernalia were found in the room and Bendik was not known to be a hard partier or heavy drug user. ...

the second season premiere of “The X-Factor.” Show creator Simon Cowell got just what he hoped for by picking music’s two of the biggest head cases to be judges. With television now saturated by musical and variety talent shows, Cowell has smartly, in an evil genius sort of way, re-positioned “The X-Factor to appeal to the lowest common denominator among viewers. Now, the show is no longer about contestants, but about how the judges react to the contestants. “American Idol” tried to tone down the more tawdry aspects of the talent show after Simon left....
