Justin also unveiled his new single “Boyfriend.” Jepson isn’t exactly a newcomer to music. She was nominated for a Juno, Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys. In 2007, she placed third in the fifth season of “Canadian Idol,” and also appeared in the Canadian Idol Top 3 concert tour....
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez lead a passel of young Hollywood friends in a campy homemade shoutout to an up-and-coming Canadian singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen for her song “Call Me Maybe.” It’s not that Carly is entirely unknown. Since she posted the video for her song on YouTube last December she’s gotten more than 3.4 million views. But the Justin/Selena version has gotten 3.4 million views in just three days....
