Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Ghesquière are very close.
Stewart had been hired by Ghesquière to rep for Balenciaga and wore his designs at red carpet events in 2012. It was her first big fashion gig.
He also stood by her during the worst of her summer 2012 cheating scandal with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders. He reaffirmed the label’s support for her amid reports she was being fired because of the affair.

Stewart couldn’t say enough about the Balenciaga Fashion Director during an interview with the UK edition of Marie Claire two months after the scandal broke. “They finish each other’s sentences, they have in-jokes and the giggle like a pair of carefree lovers,” the article stated.
When imperious boss François-Henri Pinault abruptly ousted Ghesquiere in November of that year, Stewart abruptly stopped wearing the brand.
In his new job, Ghesquiere replaces Marc Jacobs who led the high-end fashion label. The brand is counting on Ghesquiere to lift its reputation and bolster sagging sales.
“Louis Vuitton has always represented for me the symbol of ultimate luxury, innovation and exploration,” Ghesquiere said in a statement.
One high profile celebrity he’s sure to bring into the fold is Stewart. She’s taken an increased interest in fashion and credits Ghesquiere for being her muse.
“You meet someone and you recognize them,” Stewart said of the dashing designer. “You fu*king recognize them.”
