Kim Kardashian is older and wiser and “showing more maturity,” according to Oprah Winfrey, who conducted an indepth interview with the reality star that barely scratched the surface.

It’s nice to see Kim “maturing.” After all, she is 32-years-old. She had to grow up sometime.

Oprah taped a two-part special. During part 1 yesterday (June 17), Kim could have been sitting down with her pr agent.

Kim blames many of her problems on dating men that were younger than her and surrounding herself with the wrong people.

“A lot of my friends, the people I love to sit and talk to and spend my time with, are just wiser, a little bit older than me, than they where before… all my boyfriends were always younger. I always date five years younger,” she says.

“I feel like I’ve had an epiphany over the past year… I feel like I’m a changed person from my own experiences,” she explains.

Oprah vowed to get to the bottom of the Kardashian empire, but the interview was just another platform for Kim and family to put their spin on things.

The takeaway was she was immature when she married Kris Humphries and staged an $18 million wedding extravaganza. Hey, a capricious young girl has a right to make a few mistakes.

Only, Kim isn’t so young, or so inexperienced. She’d been married once before and dated half a dozen men before Humphries.

Kim insisted she was truly in love with the basketballer, but then revealed they didn’t spend a whole week together before getting married. WTF?

“I didn’t spend more than a whole week with my ex before we married. When we moved in together, I saw how our relationship was… I don’t want to get into the small things, but once we moved in, I knew he was not the one.”

“I was in love, I wanted the life that I always pictured my fairytale life to be,” she said. “I would’ve had an extravagant wedding anyway; to end that relationship was a risk in itself to lose ratings and I had to take the risk to be honest to myself.”

Kim, at least, was apologetic. “For anyone I hurt, I’m truly sorry, I don’t wish pain on anyone, but the person I am because of that crazy experience, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I loved him, obviously it hurt him, and it hurt me too. It was embarassing, I don’t want to call it a mistake, it was a lesson.”

There she did it. Now will Kris please give her a divorce.

Part 2 of the special will air June 24. Check out a clip below.
