Now that her “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Disney teen career is over, Selena is trying to make the transition to more mature films along with rivals like Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato.

The New York Times bestseller is one of the hottest properties in Hollywood.Universal Pictures and Focus Features optioned it for a film, touching off speculation about who would be cast in the lead roles.

The steamy novel, part of a trilogy, is about a love affair between young college graduate Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, a hotshot business mogul. They become involved in a relationship and explore the depths of sexual bondage, domination, sadism and complete submission.

MTV News popped the question during the launch of Selena’s new perfume at Macy’s in New York on Saturday (June 9). She definitely knows the subject.

In a hilarious Funny or Die skit, she spoofed the book. Instead of a high-roller, however, she becomes obsessed with… She’s reading the book when a slob house painter rings the doorbell.

“I only read the beginning of it, because when they told me about the skit, I didn’t know what it was about,” she told MTV.

“So I started to read it, and I was like, ‘Oh, this is spicy.’ So I thought it was good, it was intriguing,” she said.

So would she do it?

“No I don’t think so. I know I’m taking risks, but I don’t think I could do that! That would be a little too much for me. I think someone older should do that part,” she said.

Apparently, her latest movie, “Spring Breakers,” about a group of hard-partying, bikini-wearing girls, is as risque as she’ll get.. for the moment.
