Kate Middleton’s topless romp is facing even wider exposure in Italian magazine Chi. It claims it has had the pick of more than 200 images of the Duchess sunbathing topless and will publish at least 50 in an upcoming 26-page special section on Monday (Sept. 17).
The latest development comes as one photographer who was at the Chateau D’Aulet, where the royal couple were snapped told UK tabloids that there was no security present while she was there.
The woman said the pool area where the royal couple lounged was in clear view of the road and passersby and questioned whether William and Kate should have been more circumspect. Although she took photos of the couple, none show Kate topless, she told London tabloid The Daily Mail.

The Italian magazine will join two other that have published the topless photos. In addition to French magazine Closer, The Irish Daily Star has also published photos. The moves will likely undercut the palace’s lawsuit against Closer and the unnamed photographer to prevent more widespread publication of the images.
Prince William has reportedly wants jail for the editors and photographers responsible for publishing the photos. His visceral reaction may be the result of the treatment his mother Princess Diana received from the paparazzi, who caused her 1997 death in a car crash.
Chi editor-in-chief Alfonso Signorini, 48, played down the tawdriness. “These pictures are not offensive or in poor taste, they are not morbid and they do not damage the dignity of anyone,” he said.
According to reports out of Britain, Buckingham Palace is pressing ahead with its lawsuit in France against Closer. Apparently it won’t stop the Italian magazine from publishing.
