Kim Kardashian will never escape her sextape. Baby daddy Kanye West loves it, even though she’s with another man.
In contrast, Kim has always said she never meant the tape to be public and was humiliated by it when it leaked, a story she repeated to Oprah Winfrey during her special in June.
After the tape became public when portions leaked on line in 2007, Kim and then partner Ray J, cut a deal with porn producer Vivid Entertainment to market the sex tape. She reportedly got $5 million and a cut of the profits.
The publicity over the tape opened the door for Kim’s reality show on the E! Network. She also did a spread in Playboy the same year because of the tape.
West apparently couldn’t wait to get a copy of the tape and reportedly watched it while having sex with other women, according to gossip site TMZ.
The Web site claimed that “multiple sources with first hand knowledge” (Kanye’s banging partners?) said the rapper would watch the tape to get in the mood.
Rapper Ray J has also lived to regret the tape. “My client rarely has a conversation with industry professionals where the Tape has not been mentioned or questioned,’ the rapper’s lawyer wrote in a copyright dispute in Sept. 2011. “No amount of money can relieve him from this nightmare.”
Sales of the tape soared during Kim’s run up to her blowout $18 million wedding to Kris Humphries, which lasted 72 days.
Kanye is such a big fan of the sex tape, he even raps about it in a new song on his upcoming album. Check out a sample below and follow TheImproper on Twitter here for more Kim Kardashian updates.
