Michelle Obama, fresh off her moving Democratic National Convention speech, took some time out from the gathering to appear on David Letterman, via satellite. She did his famous top ten list.

The First lady, 48 spent much of her time yesterday with brother Craig Robinson in the presidential seats. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden, also dropped in to hear former President Bill Clinton speak.

From high atop the the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C., she connected with Dave to read the “Top Ten Reasons to Watch the Democratic National Convention.”

For No. 10, Michelle delivered a convention spoiler alert. “The democrats will nominate Barack Obama,” she said, showing her sense of humor.

Despite being decked out in expensive designer duds, Michelle came across as very down to earth during her speech, recalling her family’s humble beginnings while making the case for her husband’s re-election. Twitter was agog at her poise and genuineness. Reuters reported 28,000 tweets per minute at the conclusion of her speech.
