Christina Aguilera kicked off the Kids Choice Awards with Pitbull.

Pitbull and Christina Aguilera blasted off the 26th Kids Choice Awards last night with a hot duet of “Feel The Moment.” Look-alike kids in bald masks and blonde wigs swarmed the stage and taste of what was to come, Pitbull was doused in bucket loads of the show’s green slime.

Josh Duhumel served as host and showed he has the chops to take on the Golden Globes, at least, with his rousing performance.

Among the high-profile musical no shows was Justin Bieber. He won the favorite male singer award, but didn’t even phone in a video thank you. He may have been avoiding Selena Gomez, who was in her element at the show. The two recently broke up.

The high energy opening was fueled by Aguilera’s power vocals and Pitbull’s singular style, rapping and singing. Aguilera had the honor of pushing the slime button, covering Pitbull and the dancers in the gooey green stuff.

Duhumel got in on the slimming as well. He blasted Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard and then quipped: “I guess that’s what we call a slime dunk!”

Party rocker Ke$ha also hit the stage in a fur coat (let’s hope faux), tiny black shorts and yellow top. She sang one of her signature songs, “C’Mon.”

Johnny Depp, who won the favorite movie actor award for his role as vampire Barnabas Collins in “Dark Shadows,” also gave a surprise performance. Depp was characteristically low key. “I’m truly honored and humbled to get this award. You’re the future,” he said.

It was a surprise win given the competition in his category: Andrew Garfield for Spider-Man, Will Smith and Zachary Gordon.
