Melissa King says she's a Ravens fan. Kim Kardashian inset.
King has yet to give an interview to explain what happened, but has posted on her Twitter page. She thanked supporters, of which she has many, and wrote: “God wouldn't give you something that you couldn't handle.”
Kardashian's tweet popped a day ago: "Everyone wants happiness No one wants pain But you can't have the rainbow Without a little rain," she wrote.
Kim should know. Her own substantial career as a reality star began after she became embroiled in a sex tape scandal in 2007. She eventually sold the rights to her tape for $5 million and a cut of the profits. Her reality show, "Keeping up With the Kardashians," soon followed.

King's Twitter followers have swelled from about 800 to nearly 6,000 today (Mar. 1). She's not only attractive, but has the kind of charisma that caught the pageant judge's eyes. And it wasn't her first pageant win.
At the time, she was also the reigning Miss Teen Delaware International 2012. In her official bio, she said she had earned a scholarship in high school for “outstanding achievement in athletics, community services, and academics.” She reportedly attends the College of Philadelphia.
The 18-year-old won the Teen USA crown only four months after she allegedly starred in a sex tape that was featured on an amateur porn site. The tape surfaced last Monday after the porn site figured out her connection to the pageant. It trumpeted her role as Miss Delaware Teen on its site.
In an interview with the porn site that's part of the tape, she revealed that she was involved in beauty pageants but did not identify the state.

Hailey Lawler (right) poses with Melissa King after she was crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA last November.
A sympathetic Washington Post blogger wrote that "I’ve seen enough of 'Girls' to understand that uninhibited sexual experimentation is not so uncommon in schoolgirls today, and tolerating humiliation is a healthy sign of an independent spirit."
She called the scandal a "character-building challenge."
Lawler seems to have one thing her disgraced predecessor lacked, a squeaky clean background. So far, nothing remotely scandalous has emerged about her, and she even still lives at home.
Lawler is a senior at Delaware's Padua Academy, captain of the school’s soccer team and works part-time at a local pizza joint. That likely doesn't leave any time to cut a sex tape on the side.
“I was in complete shock and just didn't know what to say because ... I wasn’t expecting it really at all,” Lawler told the local News Journal newspaper. “I’m just excited and looking forward to representing Delaware.”
Whether Kim will help King get a leg up in the reality television business remains to be seen. But she reportedly already has a $250,000 offer on the table to help promote another porn site.
Lawler, meanwhile, plans to attend Philadelphia’s St. Joseph’s University this fall to pursue a career in elementary education. Can't get any sweeter than that.
