The photographs are set to be published Wednesday (Feb. 13) in Italian magazine Chi, which printed topless photos of the duchess last year.
The Palace is strenuously protesting what it calls a “clear breach” of privacy, according to London’s Daily Mail. The photos were snapped while Kate and husband Prince William were vacationing with family members on the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique.
Apparently it’s not that exclusive. Kate appeared on Chi’s cover in a bright blue bikini with a pronounced baby bump.
“We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas,” a spokesman added.

At least she’s not topless. Last summer a photographer was able to take pictures of the future English queen topless while she and William were vacationing in Provence, France at Chateau D’Aulet, a sprawling estate owned by Lord Linley, the Queen’s nephew.

While no English publication ran the photos, the appeared in numerous European magazines and went viral on the Internet.
Chi, published by a company owned by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, published a 26-page supplement featuring Kate sunbathing semi-naked. In 2006, it was one of the only publications in the world to publish a photo of Princess Diana as she lay dying in her wrecked car.
Other members of the family, including sister Pippa Middleton were also photographed, according to reports out of London. Kate and William were on a “babymoon,” perhaps the last vacation before their child is born.
It’s unknown how the photographer got on the island. Paparazzi are explicitly banned.
Mustique was made famous in the 1960s when English Lord Glenconner bought it. At the time, it was sparsely inhabited and dotted by abandoned sugar plantations. He put it on the map when hegave the Queen’s late sister, Princess Margaret, a 10-acre plot. Now Mick Jagger, David Bowie and other celebrities own homes there.
