Bandi Glanville’s bitter feud with singer LeAnn Rimes, who stole husband Eddie Cibrian, is real, but the crazy drama she brings to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is, well… fake. It’s all about ratings.

The revelation shouldn’t be too surprising.

The Beverly Hills housewives, Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda Foster are the biggest fakes in Bravo’s stable of housewives reality shows.

By calling them “reality” shows, of course, Bravo creates the clear impression that the programs reflect an actual slice of life involving the women’s daily interactions. But nothing, it seems, could be further from the truth.

Glanville is the latest to confirm the obvious. “Brandi has actually told Kyle, Kim and Lisa that the fighting she is involved with on the show is a farce and that 99 percent of what she says and does is acting,” a source close to the situation told gossip site RadarOnline.

“Brandi is very proud of the fact that she has catapulted to stardom on the show because of her outrageous antics.”

But she’s certainly now worse than the others. In fact, they don’t interact at all. “These women are all very different, and the only thing they have in common is the show, period,” a source said in January. “Taylor and Camille wouldn’t have gone out to dinner with Kyle, these women aren’t friends, at all. It’s all done for the show.”

As for Glanville’s fight with Rimes, now that’s a show.
