Playboy founder Hugh Hefner continues to revel in his latest catch, “Dancing with the Stars” pro Karina Smirnoff. The magazine offered a tantalizing tease today (Apr. 13) by releasing the upcoming May cover.

Hef called the photos “unforgettable,” in a Tweet, and continues to hype the magazine issue.

“It’s a beautiful shoot and I’m very proud of it.” he told People at his 85th birthday party in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Smirnoff will be featured in the magazine totally nude, except for a few red ribbons and will appear in several dancing phoses.

Hefner broke the news himself last week (Aprl 6), and touched off reverberations in the upper reaches of ABC, which airs “Dancing With the Stars,” which it bills as family fare.

For her part, Smirnoff, 32, is excited about the issue. “I’m fearless and love the adrenaline rush.”

“Sexy is the confident energy a person produces. Sexy is the comfortable feeling of being who you are.”

As for ABC, no plans appear afoot to take action against the shapely dancer. “They did know ahead of time,” a source told People.
