Demi Lovato Hit by New, Even More Scandalous Rumor

Disney darling Demi Lovato can’t seem to catch a break since she punched out one of her back up dancers; first reports of heavy cocaine use surfaced; now a new report claims a  sex tape is about to go public. Reps are in heated denial mode.

If true, the events of the last several weeks would mark a sharp turn for the Disney sweetheart, who had a sterling reputation until she suffered a meltdown during a South American Tour with the Jonas Brothers and slugged dancer Alex “Shorty” Welch.

The question is are the rumors true? A racy photo of Lovato surfaced late last week, but it was hardly scandalous. It was about on par with some racy photos of teen wild child Miley Cyrus.

Nonetheless, that seemed to lend some substance to a report by gossip Web site X17Online that “a sex tape featuring the barely legal singer/actress could leak any day now.”

But Lovato’s reps were quick to issue stern denials, which may or may not mean much.

“Perpetrating these completely unfounded rumors from supposed sources while Demi is in treatment dealing with serious physical and emotional issues is disgusting,” the rep told rival Web site TMZ.

The X17 report also implicates Demi’s Uncle Francisco Lovato.

He reportedly barred the door of Lovato’s tour bus while the 18-year-old went to town with someone inside.

The incident reportedly happened over the summer and the two supposedly made a tape of the action.

But Lovato’s reps shot holes in the story.

“Francisco Lovato is the brother of Demi’s estranged father. He never traveled on the tour, and certainly didn’t serve as some sort of chaperone,” the rep countered.

X17 is known mostly as a photo agency. As such, its journalistic cred is suspect.

Still, the Disney star’s rep declined to comment on the racy photos showing the starlet in sexy poses with friends.

On thing is certain, Lovato’s little girl innocence is shattered, and she’s now almost neck-and-neck with Miley in the race to stake out the sexy side of an adult film and singing career.
