Jennifer Aniston bounced around the Hollywood dating pool for seven long years after her marriage to Brad Pitt ended in 2005. The tabs were treating her like damaged goods. But along came then-unknown actor Justin Theroux, and Jen could finally say I told you so.

They got engaged in 2012 and finally married three years later. Happy ending?

Not quite.

The couple separated (divorcing?) at the end of 2017, a rep for Aniston confirmed today (Feb. 15), signaling the likely end of a marriage that, even by Hollywood standards, was too short.

Whether the union lasted long enough to restore Jen’s mojo remains to be seen. The actress turned 49 on Sunday (Feb. 11). Once again, she’s Hollywood’s most love-lorn celebrity.

Theroux was reportedly in New York over the weekend while Jen was celebrating in Malibu.

Ever since Angelina Jolie pulled the plug on her marriage to Pitt in Sept. 2016, low flying tabloids have been ruthlessly recycling rumors that Pitt and Aniston are an item again.

You may recall, Pitt was still married to Jen when he began filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” with Jolie in 2005. By the time the filming had ended, so had the marriage. And, before you could say Hollywood divorce, Pitt and Jolie were an item.

Jen was the scorned wife, so it would be sweet revenge–as well as a juicy tabloid fairy tale–if they got back together. But it’s not happening despite whatever frothy tabloid headlines you might see.

At the moment, it’s unclear where Jen’s latest marriage is heading. Neither party has indicated, so far, if divorce papers are forthcoming.

Before dating Theroux, Jen had high-profile relationships with Vince Vaughn and musician John Mayer.

Aniston was most recently spotted, without Justin, at Amy Schumer’s Tuesday wedding.
