Kristen Stewart is wild and reckless in a new video for the Rolling Stones’ blues cover “Ride ‘Em On Down.” The Stones are at their best as a blues band, and Stewart doesn’t look too bad either as a rebel without a cause.

The former “Twilight” star, who still may be dating Robert Pattinson, according to the endless cycle of fake tabloid news, tears it up on deserted L.A. streets.

She spends most of the video behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang muscle car in a nifty piece of product placement that dominates the clip. Other than that bit of raw commercialism, the video is a stompin’ romp.

Stewart breaks all the rules braless in a skimpy cotton crop top and tight jeans, wearing a pair of aviator glasses and slicked back hair. She looks totally butch, which is ok by her.

In case, you don’t get the message, the 26-year-old actress lights up a cigarette while pumping gas for her car, which has been known to cause catastrophic explosions.

Unfortunately, we’re spared that special effect. Instead, Stewart performs an equally explosive dance, with lots of squats, gyrating hips, pelvic thrusts and a momentary side-boob flash.

In one odd scene, she’s pulled over after hot-rodding through the streets. He turns out to be a smarmy hipster who tries to make small talk.

His come on line? “Where’d you get the gas?”

“About a mile back,” Stewart replies fingering a scary looking crowbar, before shooing him off.

Incidentally, the song was first recorded by Eddie Taylor in 1955. The Mississippi blues singer became a fixture of the Chicago blues scene, although he never achieved the stardom of other Chitown singers.

It’s off the Stones’ new album, Blue & Lonesome, featuring 12 classic blues songs by such luminaries as Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon and Howlin’ Wolf.

Master blues axman Eric Clapton lends a hand on some tunes. The album was released Friday.
