Toni Braxton put on a sizzling performance last night at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn that showed, despite her long career trajectory, she still knows what got her where she is today as a Grammy-Winning recording artist and actress. She can still sing and her body is still bangin’ at 49.

Braxton appeared at the “Artist Spotlight: Toni Braxton With Andra Day – 2016 Grammy Park In Brooklyn” show.

“There was a lot of love in the room that night, and Ms. Braxton set the tone. And to boot, she brought her sisters Trina and Towanda with her. This was truly unforgettable. Thank you Toni Braxton!!!” wrote on gushing fan on a venue board.

Braxton surprised and delighted fans when she actually did a credible job rapping a verse or two from 1990s rapper Biggie Small.

The show drew criticism, however, for the uneven sound system. Fans complained that Braxton was often drowned out by the band.

“At first I thought it was the acoustics in the theater, but when she was speaking to the audience, we understood her just fine. Very disappointed with that part of the concert. All I heard was music and no lyrics,” wrote a disappointed fan.

She was also about 25-minutes late taking the stage, but the delay was blamed on technical problems with her piano, which were eventually resolved.

Braxton score points, however, when she invited couples onto the stage for one of her love songs. She called out one couple who was celebrating 47 years of marriage.

“I saw her about 25 years ago at the Chicago Stadium and she is just as beautiful and awesome. Her vocals, humor and performance is second to none.

“She allowed me to hug her when I was on stage and my wife that I was celebrating our 30 year anniversary have a grainy video that I will have forever,” wrote another fan in a heartfelt message.

Braxton’s buttery but powerful alto soul voice have sold more than 67 million records and taken her from concerts to Broadway and television and movies. Her ’90s breakout hits included “Breath Again” and “Unbreak My Heart,” according to her official bio.

In 1998, she made Broadway history by becoming the first African-American woman to play Belle in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast on Broadway. She also starred in Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida on Broadway.

Since 2011, she’s starred and executive produced her own reality show “Toni Braxton Values,” on We.tv.
