Twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett, is known for her eccentric performance artistry and what must be a mezzo soprano vocal range.

She combines both in the new video. To say less is more would be an understatement. The focus is on the undulating white sheets and, secondarily, Twigs’ writhing arms and legs.
When her face pops into view, it’s only momentarily and shot at acute angles.
Her music has been described as pop, with R&B influences. She says Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Marvin Gaye. were early influences. But her sound is all her own, with a definite New Age vibe.

Rick Nowels and Twigs produced the song and she self-directed the video. She sang it for the first time at the Soundtrack 7 Manchester International Festival.
She last performed the new single on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Mac and dropped the video today. She’ll next perform it live next Wednesday (Feb. 25) on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” according to Billboard.
It’s a visual feast, shot in black and white. It’s complexity is derived from its simplicity. It’s just Twigs and a big comfy bed.
Coupled with the music and her haunting voice, it’s mesmerizing to watch.

Twigs is nothing if not as exotic–just simply looking at her. Her father was Jamaican and her mother was of English and Spanish descent.
In the video, She wears her hair in long braids and is adorned in jewelry, including her trademark nose ring.
It seems clear, Rob has a lot to wake up to every morning.
