Froggatt, who plays Anna, the personal maid to Lady Mary Grantham (Michelle Dockery), stopped by the show to talk about the hit program’s sixth and final season.

Froggatt said Kate, wife of heir to the throne Prince William, decided to “pop in” one day while they were filming with virtually no advance warning.

When the Duchess of Cambridge was finally on her way to Highclere Castle, where the show is filmed, Froggatt said they actually went through a countdown before her arrival.
“Someone kept rushing and saying she’s going to be here in 10 minutes. She’s going to be here in nine minutes. ‘Ok, right, nine minutes.’ So you’re just getting more and more nervous everytime,’ she said.
