Amy Schumer is the actress of the moment with a hit movie, “Trainwreck,” and a new best bud, Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence. She told Jon Stewart last night that both are as much as a surprise to her as everyone else.
But Stewart wasn’t buying it.
“Your movie is ridiculous,” he gushed. “I feel like your comedy is informed. It comes from a place of real intention… You’re like an actress star.”
“Whaaat?” said a shocked Amy. “No!”
On a more somber note, Stewart brought up the movie theater shooting during a showing of her new movie. A crazed loner opened fire killing and injuring several people.

“For you life, is a bit of a rocket ship, I would think,” he said. “Are you in the stratosphere now? I see a picture of you and Jennifer Lawrence….”
“Oh god, don’t even start,” Schumer said with an eye roll, apparently referencing the social media storm over photos of them together, frolicking in the Hamptons.
She and her high school friends were kicked off Martha’s Vineyard after last summer’s party, she revealed.
Schumer filmed a video of her friends when she told them Lawrence was joining them. They went crazy. Who wouldn’t?
The rest is “a complete viral thing,” she said.
