Ariana Grande, the kittenish singer and errant donut-licker, isn’t off the hook yet and could still face charges for licking and spitting on donuts on a counter display at Wolfee Donuts in in Lake Elsinore, Calif. Owner Joe Marin is P.O’d.

A number of reports, citing the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, claimed that Grande would not face charges because shop owner Joe Marin had declined to press charges.

But none of those site check with Joe, who still very much wants to press charges.

Since a security video of the incident went viral last week Joe has faced all kinds of grief from the local health department, including a health rating downgrade.

Marin was interviewed today (July 14) by Toronto radio station KiSS 92.5 on the The Roz & Mocha Show. It seems like a lot of people expect Grande to face consequences for her actions, including the radio duo.

“C’mon, I don’t want the girl to go down hard, but you just want something to happen,” said Roz.

Grande, was caught on a security camera licking at least three donuts along with her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez , who licked a couple as well. She was also overheard saying “I hate Americans” and “I hate America.”

They never took the donuts off the tray, nor did they buy them. It’s unknown what happened to the donuts at the moment and Marin is being investigated to determine whether they were sold or thrown out.

Needless to say, Joe is P.O’ed. .

I’ve been hearing that I decided not to press charges,” he told the radio duo. “I don’t know where that came from… I did press charges. When I was reading the newspapers they said I decided not to, and I don’t know where that came from.”

He said Grande licked two donuts and spit on two others. “But that’s not the point,” he added, noting that the shop was then downgraded by a health inspector for leaving the donut tray on top of the counter.

“When you go to the buffets, the buffets are open. You could spit on it if you wanted,” he rationalized.

Even though, Grande apologized, he said he will still go forward with charges. “I think she should (face) charges. The thing is … if it was one of us, they’d do something about it,” he said.

He’s got that right. Celebrities, too often skate for their bad behavior. Hello, Justin Bieber.

It’s easy to see where this is going. Marin obviously wants a payout. Does he deserve one?
