Dasha Safronova, a 15-year-old Russian musical prodigy sings and plays Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ All of it.

Dasha Safronova, a 15-year-old Russian musical prodigy spent two months recording herself playing and singing every part of Queen’s classic, 1975 song “Bohemian Rhapsody,” including the four-part harmony.

The band, Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar), and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) recorded the song for their album A Night at the Opera.

The tune went on to become one of the best-selling singles of all time. It was noted not only for its intricate composition, but also for its groundbreaking mash up of progressive rock and opera.

The video (see below) was also considered groundbreaking for its time.

Dasha is a student at a musical college in Ulan-Ude, a city in the Russian province of Buryatia in southwestern Siberia.

She recorded the song as part of her course in Choral Conducting, according to the video. “I was recording this sound for 2 months!” she exclaims.

Beside her phenomenal musical performance, the video includes some nifty editing to show her playing every musical part in the song.

She also demonstrates amazing vocal range. And, dig the keytar!

Except for a slight Russian accent, she sings the English lyrics perfectly.

The video is currently going viral on YouTube. Check it out below, compare it to Queen’s original video for the song, and be sure to follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest viral videos.
