Shakira, the Colombian singer, songwriter and dancer set NBC’s “Today Show” stage on fire with her Latin-inspired dancing to the classic song, “Hips Don’t Lie,” that made her a sensation when it was released in 2006.

She was joined on stage by Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean.

Jean’s single “Dance Like This” and “Amores Como el Nuestro” by Omar Alfanno are heavily sampled in the salsa- and reggaeton-influenced song.

Shakira was on the “Today Show” to promote her new self-titled album Shakira, which hit the streets today (Mar. 26).

She followed up with “Empire,” a new song off the album. She released the video for the song on Monday (Mar. 24). (See Below)

“I think this is one of my most personal albums due to the past two and a half years,” she said on the show.

Shakira was referring to the birth of her son Milan Piqué Mebarak in January a year ago. She met baby daddy Gerard Piqué, in the spring of 2010, and they are still in a relationship.

Pique, a star Spanish soccer player, appeared in Shakira’s music video for her song “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).” The song was adopted as the official song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

At 37, she hasn’t lost any of her seductive moves. Check out the videos below.
