One thing is certain in the first look at the upcoming series from Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network. Lindsay doesn’t need to manufacture drama.
Her raw nerves, dysfunction and attention-deficit lifestyle are real, and her family is just as whack.
The trailer provides only a glimpse of dad Michael Lohan and mom Dina Lohan. But the overwhelming conclusion is they are certifiably self-absorbed, narcissistic head cases.
Oprah offered to film Lindsay last year out of the belief that most of her troubles and behavior were hyped by the tabloids. Sister, was she wrong.
If Oprah was looking for drama to boost ratings on her struggling network, she got more than she bargained for.
“This is exactly what everybody said was going to happen and I believed differently,” Winfrey bemoans. In a “Come-to-Oprah” moment, she tells the hot mess star “You need to cut the [expletive].”
The show charts Lohan’s activities as she moves from Los Angeles to New York City. She holes up in a New York hotel with a new sober coach and personal assistant while she looks for an apartment and struggles to find work.
She last appeared in the erotic thriller “The Canyons,” directed by Paul Schrader and written by Bret Easton Ellis. The movie was universally panned, but Lindsay show flashes of solid acting as well as her breasts. See her topless trailer here.
Meanwhile, the paparazzi still dog her every move. Check out the trailer below, let us know your thoughts and follow TheImproper online for the latest celebrity news.
Lindsay debuts this Sunday, Mar. 9.
